Job Opportunities

Our Mission
At La Luz Early Childhood center, our mission is to offer a child-centered, learning environment providing developmentally appropriate care and education in a nurturing atmosphere designed to foster your child’s social, physical and cognitive growth.

What We Offer
Our program provides a loving, attentive setting that supports each child's emotional development. Our flexible curriculum includes opportunities for:

  • Active play and motor development
  • Open-ended art and creativity
  • Science exploration and discovery
  • Problem-solving with puzzles and blocks
  • Music, movement, and pretend play
  • Daily story time with a wide variety of books

Children are encouraged to make choices, take responsibility for their actions, and grow into confident, capable learners.

Class Structure & Continuity
Children remain with the same group and teachers for the first three years, promoting strong relationships and consistency. We group classes by birthdate using September 1st as the cutoff (aligned with Albuquerque Public Schools). Children stay with their class for the full school year rather than moving up on their birthday.
Our class groupings are:

  • Infants: Starting at 6 weeks
  • Young Toddlers: Age 1 by Sept. 1
  • Older Toddlers: Age 2 by Sept. 1
  • Preschool: Age 3 by Sept. 1
  • Pre-K: Age 4 by Sept. 1

Continuity of care is a cornerstone of our approach.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
La Luz welcomes all children and families. We do not discriminate based on religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, color, creed, disability, national origin, age, or any other protected status.
